The Glasgow Redbacks were founded in early 2006 to compete in the SARFL.  Until that point  crosstown rivals the Glasgow Sharks had been the only Aussie Rules team in the west of Scotland.  However a new structure in 2006 for the SARFL opened the door for the establishment of a new team in Scotland.  The Redbacks fill that gap and have a strong side featuring a mix of Australian and International players.

We train on Every Sunday 2pm @ Glasgow Green, near the People's Palace
